Goodbye to Black Sabbath

I wasn’t there but Black Sabbath played their final gig (I have a feeling we have heard this before) last night. It was fitting that that this should happen at home at he Birmingham NEC after an 81 date world tour.
Black Sabbath “We Sold Our Souls For Rock and Roll” was the first album that I ever bought. I remember as a pre-teen spending £2.99 for a double album bought from Andy’s Records on Upper Bridge Street in Peterborough. It was a bargain that started me of on a course of loving metal and rock music. To this day I’m still dipping in and out of that stream.

There have been ups and downs along the way but thanks to Ozzy, Tony, Geezer and Bill (and Ronnie too) it has been an exciting ride.

Respect due.
